Types of Education Outside the Classroom

SETO tour operator members plan and co-ordinate student educational group travel programs within the domestic, outbound and inbound market sectors. Whilst the two main sectors are domestic and outbound, SETO also focuses on promoting the benefits of student educational group travel programs to Australia and developing strong relations with international organisations such as the Student and Youth Travel Association (STYA), World Youth Student & Educational (WYSE) Travel Confederation and the School Travel Forum (UK) to raise the profile of Australia as a safe and exciting destination for student group travel.

SETO aims to support social programs that provide opportunities for underprivileged and indigenous students to participate in travel programs.

DOMESTIC DISCOVERY

Canberra, our nation's capital, offers immersive experiences at Parliament House, the High Court, and the National Museum of Australia. Students can witness democracy in action, delve into Australia's history, and explore the workings of our legal system. Indigenous cultural experiences, such as those offered in the Northern Territory, offer a deeper understanding of Australia's First Nations people and their connection to the land. SNOW AND SKI

Ski Trips are very popular in many schools and are often a highlight of many students' school careers.  These trips often include skiing lessons, equipment rentals, and guided excursions, helping students develop their skills in a fun, supportive environment.
