Student Education Travel Organisation

TYPES OF Student TRAVEL

Types of Education Outside the Classroom

SETO certified tour operator members plan and co-ordinate student educational group travel programs within the domestic, outbound and inbound market sectors. Whilst the 2 main sectors are domestic and outbound, SETO will be also focusing on promoting the benefits of student educational group travel programs to Australia and developing strong relations with international organisations such as the Student and Youth Travel Association (STYA), World Youth Student & Educational (WYSE) Travel Confederation and the School Travel Forum (UK) to raise the profile of Australia as a safe and exciting destination for student group travel.

SETO aims to support social programs that provide opportunities for underprivileged and indigenous students to participate in travel programs.

Study Based Tours

From Canberra excursions focusing on civics and citizenship to multi city history and classics tours in Europe to STEM tours in the USA and Singapore to Geology and Geography trips on the North and South Islands of New Zealand, and many more, our members help to facilitate meaningful study based experiences across a raft of subject based disciplines.

Sports Tours

Sports playing tours and professional sports coaching tours across the globe help to build confidence and inspire students in their chosen sport whilst building teamwork and enhancing skills development.

Ski Trips

Ski Trips are very popular in many schools and are often a highlight of many students' school careers.

Music and Performance Tours

Performing in a band ensemble or as part of a choir, a dance troupe or in a performing arts group in destinations around the world help to build skills, teamwork and confidence in performing on stage.

Language Immersion Trips

Living and breathing a country through immersing in the language helps to develop a student's greater understanding of another culture.

Expeditions and Service Trips

Social justice or service trips help to provide students with a whole new perspective on the world and their place within it.

SETO acknowledges traditional owners of Country throughout Australia and recognise their ongoing connection to land, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and future and support the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices.
