Governance – A Key SETO Pillar

SETO aspires to build confidence across the educational travel landscape, fostering an environment where schools and teachers feel confident and supported in organising their excursion. SETO’s approach is one of collaboration and shared learning and hence input across a number of stakeholder groups is key as we build our SETO community.

Underpinning our Governance pillar are the following areas of focus:

To bring governance to the student educational travel sector
To ensure there is a framework for health and safety and quality assurance in the sector
To protect the integrity of the travel sector in its dealing with the education sector
To understand and respect the role teachers play in organising trips for their students

SETO acknowledges traditional owners of Country throughout Australia and recognise their ongoing connection to land, waters and communities.
